Star of the Sea School was visited by the Raising Aspirations Team at Newcastle University. They came to talk to us about our careers. We learned how many different careers there were and we were amazed by how many different courses you could do at university and thought about what we would like to learn about when we are older.
In the afternoon we also learned a lot about animation from Mr McQuillan. We learned how to make characters and watched some videos from Mr McQuillan and the students at Sunderland University. We found out what it was like to make animations for adverts, movies and games. We are going to design our own characters and the students are going to bring them to life. We cant wait!
