Our Reception children were so excited to return to school to see so much snow. Of course we had to play in it! We found imprints in the snow and we all discussed what we thought made them and why. What do you think made them?

Some of our youngest pupils thoroughly enjoyed time with their grown ups making lots of Christmassy things to take home. A lovely afternoon had by all.

We had a wonderful day celebrating the annual campaign supporting disadvantaged children in the UK. Reception thought about how to be a good friend to everyone and that it can make others happy.

Reception enjoyed making their own bread to end their learning based on the story 'The Little Red Hen'. We weighed, mixed, kneaded and shaped the dough before baking it in our oven. Our school smelled amazing and the children thoroughly enjoyed the process!

We have had a fun filled first half term in Reception! We could not be prouder of our Early Years children and how they have settled into school life here at Star of the Sea. What a journey to be on!

We collected apples from our school orchard to make our apple crumble. We chopped, mixed and layered the ingredients before baking it in the oven. It smelled delicious!
