We spent two hours at Safetyworks in Benwell learning about staying safe. We had five sessions which told us about safety near water, understanding dog behaviour, road traffic awareness, anti-social behaviour and what can happen if you give in to peer pressure.
Each session was led by an expert eg a police officer, fire fighter etc. We learned which numbers to call in an emergency, how to help someone who had fallen in to water, how to approach a dog on a lead and what it’s like in a police cell.
It was a very enjoyable morning with lots of roll play and activities for us to do.
