On Wednesday, we travelled by metro to the Discovery Museum in Newcastle.
We had an hour to walk around the museum looking at technology from a variety of different years. Then we went to the third floor and went into the Science Maze where we had a lot of fun using some of the technology there.
After that, we had lunch next to the Turbinia (the world’s first steam powered boat).
After lunch we had a guided tour and learnt about local inventors like William Armstrong who invented a lot of things such as the Swing Bridge in Newcastle. We also heard about George and Robert Stephenson, Charles Parsons and Gladstone Adams who came from Whitley Bay and invented the windscreen wiper!
We all had an amazing time!
