Catherine Bruton, author of Bird Boy, No Ballet Shoes in Syria and lots more novels, came to talk to Y5 and Y6 today.
We heard her read some of Bird Boy and she told us how she found the ideas for her books.With Catherine’s guidance, we wrote our own stories from the point of view of our favourite animals.
There were tiny prizes for people who answered questions or read out their work. Some people got to meet Catherine and have their books signed by her.
It was a funafternoon and we all enjoyed it.
