Year 6 have a very reflective time this month thinking of the expectations and hopes Christians hold during Advent. They have created some beautiful pictures to go with their prayers this Advent to share with our community.
We have also been thinking of John the Baptist’s expectations of Jesus and created speeches. Here is one example written by Caleb:
Listen tot he words that I bring you. When Jesus comes, a new dawn will emerge. A dawn of happiness and eternal love from the Lord. Jesus will bring forgiveness, breaking the chains of those who are bound because of their past actions and he will bring everlasting hope to those who suffer.
Everyone will rejoice. The paths will be made straight and all those who wish to will be baptised and cleansed of their sins. The Good News that the prophet Isiah has written about will become true. The Lord will be born as a human with hands that will save and help many. He will accomplish feats that no-one could ever attempt. He will give the blind light and the deaf new ears so they can follow him as he spreads good all over the world.
The Messiah is coming! Be ready and be prepared.
