We pedalled our way to a delicious fruit smoothie! 6Ct showed plenty of determination and enthusiasm as they powered the blender with their own cycling energy. It was a fun and tasty way to stay active and learn about healthy choices!

We had a lovely time this week thinking about how to be a good friend, we made bracelets and pictures for each other.  We loved dressing up for children in need.

6RH have been busy exploring electrical circuits, learning how to connect components like bulbs, wires, and switches to make their own working systems. They experimented with creating complete and incomplete circuits, then moved on to designing clear circuit diagrams using the correct symbols. Year 6 were inspired to write funny food poems after joining a live session with Michael Rosen! He read some of his poems and explained where he got his ideas from and how he put the poems together. We used some of his ideas to write our own poems and then read our poems out to the class.

We have had a fun filled first half term in Reception! We could not be prouder of our Early Years children and how they have settled into school life here at Star of the Sea. What a journey to be on!

We collected apples from our school orchard to make our apple crumble. We chopped, mixed and layered the ingredients before baking it in the oven. It smelled delicious!

This week, our Year 5 pupils took part in a valuable road safety refresher session led by North Tyneside Council. The workshop was designed to reinforce key safety messages and equip children with practical knowledge to help them stay safe while walking or cycling near roads. Through engaging activities and discussions, pupils revisited important topics such as the Green Cross Code, safe crossing points, and how to be visible to drivers.
