Making Periscopes

Year 6

May 20, 2024

On Monday afternoon, we made periscopes in class as part of our science topic – Light.

We followed instructions and used card, sellotape, scissors and mirrors. We knew that when light shines on a shiny surface, it reflects off at the same angle. We worked out that the mirrors had to be positioned at 45 degrees.

It took a while to make them and we helped each other. Once they were made, we went outside to try them out.

It was a very enjoyable lesson and we had a lot of fun trying them out!
