At Star of the Sea, we celebrated the start of the Jubilee Year 2025 – Pilgrims of Hope with a special whole school celebration of the word. Then, each class created their own Holy Door, symbolising the invitation to open our hearts to God’s mercy and love. This ties in with the scripture from John 10: “I am the door. If anyone enters by me, he will be saved and will go in and out and find pasture.” Passing through the Holy Door expresses our decision to follow Jesus, the Good Shepherd, and be guided by Him on our journey of faith. The Jubilee Year is a time to reflect on our faith, grow closer to God, and share kindness with others. By making our Holy Doors, we are reminded that we are all called to walk in faith and hope, embracing God’s love and forgiveness.
