To start our new English topic based on the book The Iron Man by Ted Hughes, we discovered a pile of metal objects on our desks. Where had it come from? Nobody knows.

We used these objects to create something that had appeared from out of nowhere. We then wrote a short story opener, identifying the creation and the location it had been seen.  We included rhetorical questions so the reader would understand how unusual it was.
