On Wednesday, Richard Stevenson, ‘That History Bloke’ visited Year 3 to teach them about the Ancient Egyptians. We learned about the pharaohs and how they were embalmed and mummified. We even had a go at embalming our own pharaoh and then tried to bandage ourselves! We learned some gruesome facts – particularly about how the dead pharaoh’s brains were removed! We then wrote our names in hieroglyphics and learned how to play an ancient Egyptian game.
