As this week has been Shakespeare Week, in English Year 3 looked at Shakespeare’s play Hamlet. Hamlet is one of Shakespeare’s most famous plays. It is a tragedy, but addresses other themes such as love, death, revenge and mental health. We concentrated on the very beginning of the play. We acted out Act 1 Scene 1 and then wrote an atmospheric narrative to describe what it was like to be a guard on the castle battlements.
