Year 5 created their final piece of work this week for our painting topic.

After exploring a range of painting techniques and styles this half-term, we decided to draw inspiration from the Impressionist artists for our final piece.

We closely analysed the work of Claude Monet and Berthe Morisot, noting the key features of the impressionist movement.

We noticed that the brush strokes were very obvious in the work of impressionists, and ensured we used this technique in our final piece.

I am sure you will all agree, Year 5 have done a fantastic job!
