Celebrating ‘British Science Week’ in Style

Reception

March 12, 2024

Reception were so excited to find out that their task was to discover what happens to biscuits when they get wet. We also had to test each biscuit to see which would be the perfect ‘dunker’ for Mrs DiMambro’s cup of coffee.

We tested a range of biscuits by dunking them into cold water. After we timed each dunk, we lifted our biscuits out to see what happened! Needless to say some biscuits fared better than others!

‘Oat’ biscuits were the far superior biscuit, holding up for an average of 30 seconds before any breakage. ‘Nice’ biscuits did not fare so well, lasting an average of 6 seconds before they ended up at the bottom of the cup! Not so good for dunking!

A brilliant afternoon!
