A great afternoon was spent designing a safe and welcoming habitat for the birds in our Star of the Sea grounds. The children thought about the types of nesting birds that visit our grounds and what the different species require to stay safe as well as what their preferred habitats are.

This knowledge informed the design process where some fantastic designs were developed. The children thought of some amazing ideas.

They then set about choosing their favourite designs as a team and making Lego models. We saw admirable team working skills and some wonderful creations.

We are so proud of all the hard work that went into the children’s work and will be entering our designs into the ‘Build for Birds’ Lego competition!
