Another busy week in Year 4

Year 4

March 8, 2024

This week in year 4 we have had a real variety of activities. In English we are learning about tales of fear and how to build suspense. The children have created some fantastic pieces of work and next week they will be writing their final stories.

In PE we have been working on our tennis skills and competing for the longest rally.  The children are really improving their ball control.

Thursday was World Book Day and everyone wore their pyjamas and brought in favourite books from home. We took part in The Great World Book Day Footy and Booky Quiz with the Premier League Primary Stars and we learned all about the Born Free foundation with Michael Morpurgo. In the afternoon we spent time creating character portraits of our favourite characters.  On Friday we even found time to set up a science experiment to observe the effects of various different liquids on the enamel on our teeth. We will let you know our findings next week!
