At Star of the Sea, Geography inspires pupils to be curious and fascinated about the world and its people.We aim to deepen their knowledge about their local area and the physical and human characteristics within it. They will learn about the location of other regions of the UK and the rest of the world. This will enhance the children’s spirituality by appreciating other cultures and the way in which they live. Children will have opportunities to go on trips to build upon the child’s understanding and further their knowledge.

Children will become competent in collecting and analysing data through the use of fieldwork. They will interpret and communicate geographical information in a variety of ways through maps, globes, atlases and aerial photographs.
