During the week of 11th November, we celebrated Friendship Week across the whole school. Our theme this year was ‘Kindness’ and was based on the book ‘Have You Filled a Bucket Today’. We shared the story and learned that we all have an invisible ‘bucket’ to hold good feelings about ourselves. The children have been very busy filling each other’s buckets with kind words and kind deeds. Each class had their own bucket to fill and some of us made mini buckets. There have been so many activities in our classrooms such as circle time, writing poems about kindness and making up recipes for friendship. We all brought our buckets to the whole school collective worship on Friday for a big celebration. We now have lots of ideas to help us keep filling our buckets all through the year!
