TUESDAY - Your favourite toy

Watch the story of Knuffle Bunny then think of your own favourite toy. Write a sentence to describe what it looks like, feels like and what it is made from. Say your sentence out loud to yourself before you write. Remember to use capital letters, finger spaces and a full stop.

WEDNESDAY - Speech bubbles

Look again at the first part of Knuffle Bunny and stop the story when Mum asks where Knuffle Bunny is. What do you think Trixie was trying to say? Why couldn't she say it clearly? Think of ideas as to what she could be saying. Build your sentence then put it in a speech bubble. You could also draw a picture of Trixie as she is talking.

THURSDAY - Story Map

Today you are going to make a story map for Knuffle Bunny. You have done this before in our lessons, so we're sure you can do this well. Please make sure that you leave little spaces between each drawing. It will be important for tomorrow's lesson that characters and setting are drawn clearly. You must include the laundromat in your map as this is important for tomorrow's activity. have fun!

FRIDAY - Edit your story map

Look again at the story map you made yesterday. The story is set in New York and a laundromat is somewhere you would find in this city. Where else could Knuffle Bunny get lost? Think of some fun ideas so you can start to change your story to make it your own. Where you drew the laundromat on yesterday's map, draw a new place on a separate piece of paper and stick it over the laundromat on your map. Now when you retell the story you have changed part of the plot. Once you have done this can you think of any other changes you could make to the story? Different characters? A different toy? Have fun making this story belong to you!

We break up on Thursday, 1st April 2021 for the Easter holidays and we all return to school on Monday, 19th April, 2021. Next week is Holy Week.
