Today we took part in a sponsored workout, as part of our whole school fundraising for the NSPCC. The NSPCC had come into school last week and had given an assembly in which they showed us different ways in which we could raise money for the charity. We talked about the features of the Advent wreath, why it's round, why it is made of evergreen leaves, what the candles represent and when we light them. Then, we made our own wreaths to take home, ready to add the first flame to the first candle this Sunday.
