Thursday 4th April

Today, as part of our 'Healthy Living' week, we took part in a game of tag rugby, led by coaches from the Newcastle Falcons. We had fun learning how to play the game and getting lots of exercise at the same time. Joseph H said "That was so much fum, absolutely brilliant." smiley

Happy New Year!

Welcome back to the Spring Term 2019.

We have got straight into our Maths work and, using our knowledge of how to use arrays to help us multiply, we are now looking at how to use arrays to help us divide and share into equal groups. We did it practically first, then recorded our work into our books. we all did so well.

This week, we have started our new R.E topic in Come and See called 'Preparing'.

We have learnt that Advent is a very special time in the liturgical year, a time when we prepare for the birth of Jesus. We talked about the features of the Advent wreath, why it's round, why it is made of evergreen leaves, what the candles represent and when we light them. Then, we made our own wreaths to take home, ready to add the first flame to the first candle this Sunday.

Take a look at our curriculum map to see what we are doing this half term.

Talk for Writing.

This week we are using Talk for Writing strategies to support us with our writing.

We are retelling the story of 'How to Trap a Dragon' through the use of actions. We practiced making up our own and had a lot of fun!

Here are some of our photographs of our actions...smiley
